Protect yourself against email scams

We’ve all heard about them—emails from someone posing as your bank or an often-used site telling you to submit your account details or your account will be closed. Are these emails real? Never. They’re called “phishing” emails and are just one way that scammers try to steal your personal information.

How can you protect yourself against phishing emails? First you need to know what they look like. Here are a few things to look for so you can protect your NETELLER account:

  • Unprofessional emails with grammatical or spelling errors.
  • Free money offers that don’t require you do anything. If it looks good to be true, it probably is. Report any free money offers made on NETELLER’s behalf to phishing@neteller.com
  • Links that look valid but take you to a spoof address. Do not click on any links that look suspicious and be aware that a fake link may contain the word “NETELLER.” Our top level domains will always be at neteller.com (e.g. promotions.neteller.com, content.neteller.com, public.neteller.com).
  • And if you’re really concerned, never click on an email to sign in to NETELLER. Just go directly to www.neteller.com.

If you think you’ve received a phishing email, please forward it to phishing@neteller.com.
